Hand sanitizers

 As we all know that hand sanitizers are very important in nowadays. You have to carry them everywhere you go. You don't enter at shops without sanitizing yourself.  You better get yourself one from me. The hand sanitizers I make leave your hands soft and smooth unlike the majority that leaves your hands dry.

THE PERFUMER

 I created PHO Scents to share the joy and natural beauty of Nseleni and Richards bay landscapes with the world. My fragrances capture the complexity of natural, seasonal and historic elements that make the area so delightful and memorable.

If you want to start a business of creating fragrance to sell, I do offer 1 to 1 consultancy but I would always suggest you start with either an online perfumery course or practical in person perfumery class.

If you are starting out and don't have a huge budget for materials, packaging, product development and marketing but still want to create fragrances to sell I would suggest you start with creating bespoke fragrances 1 to 1 and sell higher end.

This will give you the practice and the income to then put into a range when you are ready.

About PHO Scents

 

 
At the beginning of lockdown, I felt like I was not busy enough since we were studying online. I decided to do something that I have always been obsessed with while making extra cash, which is having my own perfume brand. That how I came up with PHO Scents.
 
I saw a post on Facebook of a girl named Ayanda. She was looking for people who were interested to take a perfume class. I said let me grab this opportunity with both hands, so I went to Durban. That is where she taught us how to make perfumes, lip balms, hand sanitizers, body lotions and bath salts. I am currently taking baby steps and mainly concentrating on perfumes and hand sanitizers as I am still a beginner. 
 
When I started the course in September 2020, I knew borderline nothing about fragrances, other than the fact that I was hugely interested by it. I learned a lot about botanical ingredients during the course, since that's the starting point of getting familiar with aroma chemicals. 

I slowly began to expand my knowledge of experimentation with more manmade ingredients. I am continuing to expand the product line as I learn more about what my clients do (and don't) like. Anytime I run into a roadblock, I know Ayanda and the Facebook group can help answer questions.
